The course provides knowledge of planning and collaboration on a large project. The course is structured as a collaborative task with the aim of introducing practical working methodology across production software. Candidates work independently in a group with teacher-led guidance. The course provides insight into participation in a development process that involves interdisciplinary cooperation and close communication with a customer.
The course provides the opportunity to present his/her preferred field in a complete production. The course also provides best practices with team-based planning and time estimation, through project plans. The candidate must demonstrate his/her ability to make reasonable and efficient choices through the use of software tools and detailed documentation, in addition to communicating with professional terminology and expressions during a project.
The candidate:
- has knowledge of tools and processes that are used to plan collaborative projects through project plans and time management plans.
- has knowledge of roles within a group and understands his/her own responsibility during a production in accordance with the project plan.
- can update his/her knowledge of best practices for collaborative CAD productions.
- understands the importance of peer-to-peer teamwork and communication in a collaborative project.
The candidate:
- can apply knowledge of CAD workflows and design intent to communicate and execute collaborative projects.
- master's relevant tools and processes for task management and sharing resources within a group.
- can find information and material that is relevant to solving problems during the production.
- can study team dynamics and identify social issues and what measures need to be implemented as a group.
The candidate:
- has developed an ethical attitude in relation to industry standards and requirements for executing projects.
- can carry out planning and execution of a project, alone or as part of a group in accordance with project plans, his/her own tasks and in compliance with appointments and deadlines.
- can build relations with his/her peers, also across disciplinary boundaries, to discuss CAD workflows and project execution.
In this course, the following teaching and learning methods can be applied, but are not limited to:
- Lecture: Educator-led presentations or activities providing knowledge, skills, or general competencies in the subject area.
- Group work: Collaborative activities where students work together to solve problems or complete tasks.
- Tutoring: One-on-one or small group sessions with an instructor for personalized guidance and support.
- Student presentations: Opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding of course material by presenting to peers.
- Online lessons: Digital content delivered via an online learning platform.
- Guidance: Individualized advice and direction from instructors to support students in their learning journey.
- Workshops: Practical sessions focused on hands-on application of theoretical concepts or skills.
- Self-study: Independent study where students engage with course material on their own without any teacher support.
Teaching materials, reading lists, and essential resources will be shared in the learning platform and software user manuals where applicable.
