About the Course

The course provides knowledge of lights, composition, and visual storytelling through aesthetic means. Candidates are provided with skills for lighting, rendering, and compositing 3D scenes. Candidates gain insight into offline rendering methods, including render layers, passes, and colour correction, for efficient workflows.

The course aims to teach lighting techniques, rendering, and compositing processes as essential parts of a 3D Artist's skillset. By studying real-world light and shadows and exploring mood and atmosphere in CG, candidates can create various shots to suit a wide range of industry purposes.

Learning Activities

Digital Learning Resources:
The learning management system (LMS) is the primary learning platform where students access most of their course materials. The content is presented in various formats, such as text, images, models, videos or podcasts. Each course follows a progression plan, designed to lead students through weekly modules at their own pace. Exercises and assignments (individual or in groups) are embedded throughout the courses to support continuous practice and assessment of the learning outcomes.
