A pass grade for the course "Norwegian language and culture, Level 1 " or its equivalent, or documented Norwegian knowledge at A2 level.
- reading of texts in textbooks as well as authentic texts
- writing of texts in different genres
- conversation about texts the students read and write
- working with basic language functions, such as phrases for social contact, information exchange, expression of feelings and considerations, turn-taking and conversational skills
- further development of the vocabulary in Norwegian
- working with basic structures in Norwegian grammar and pronunciation training
- practising online communication
Learning outcome
A candidate who has completed his or her qualification should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence:

- has basic knowledge about Norwegian society and culture

- can speak Norwegian with a functional pronounciation
