Course content
  • reading of texts in textbooks
  • writing of simple texts about one's own life and topics covered in the textbook
  • working with basic language functions, such as phrases for social contact, exchange of information, expression of feelings and evaluations, turn-taking and conversational skills
  • developing a basic vocabulary in Norwegian
  • working with basic structures in Norwegian grammar and pronunciation training

  • 15-minute oral examination in pairs (50 percent of the final grade)

The exams are in Norwegian.

The exams are graded on a scale from A to F. A is the highest pass grade and E is the lowest pass grade . A final grade grade is awarded at the end of the completed course, based on the grades from the written and oral exams. Both exams must be passed in order to pass the course.
