Learning Outcome
Upon completing the course, the student will have achieved the following learning outcomes:
The student:
- has broad knowledge of animation concepts & styles
- has knowledge of character development
- has knowledge of acting and dramaturgy for animation
- has knowledge of the processes involved in using motion capture to create animation
The student:
- can create believable and convincing animation
- can apply dramaturgical analysis to acting and critical assessment of animation
- can animate different styles such as classical traditional animation and realistic animation
- can use advanced visual storytelling techniques
The student:
- has insight into advanced animation and storytelling and can participate in artistic and academic discussions about it
- is capable of preparing and executing animations for game productions
- has an understanding of different styles within animation
The course is structured as a combination of lectures, practical exercises, continuous submissions, self-study, and supervision.
