Learning Outcome
Upon completing the course, the student will have achieved the following learning outcomes:
The student:
- has knowledge of the 12 animation principles
- has knowledge of animation processes
- has knowledge of animation history
- has knowledge of how to create movement and personality in an animated object
- has knowledge of story and character development
- has knowledge of dramaturgy and acting
The student:
- can apply the animation principles in an animation sequence by focusing on personality and movement
- can use professional animation software
The course is organized as a combination of lectures, practical exercises, self-study and supervision.
Throughout the course, students work on a single assignment. The students will make a short animated film, with the main focus on the quality of the characters, animation and any other character-driven elements.
- 2-4 individual assignments
Compulsory requirements that have been passed are valid for only 12 months. Students who wish to take examinations after 12 months must pass the mandatory work requirements again at the next regular completion of the course.
