About the Course

In this course the composition students will work individually, composing and delivering finished music for a media format such as a TV-series episode, a radio documentary, radio drama or similar.

This will let them develop the knowledge and skills necessary for working self-sustained from idea to delivery of products for the media industry. They will work to a specification and receive feedback on their ability to fulfil it. They will work in a constrained time frame. They will have to assume responsibility for the musical content, but also for all technical aspects of the process.

A significant part of music composed and produced professionally is intended for the media industry. How to operate as an individual media composer, taking responsibility for the entire process up until the finished deliverables are currently very relevant and important skills for a composer producer.
