This semester project challenges the candidate to work independently on a real-life project. Here the candidate uses his/her skills to develop a comprehensive visual communication plan and product that communicates a clear message to a defined audience. Emphasis is placed on finding the balance between innovative design, communication and functionality using creative approaches and solutions. There will also be a report that documents the process and describes which choices have been made along the way. The final product will be presented to assessor.

- can update his/her vocational knowledge of graphic design and visual communication accumulated through various subjects in previous semesters.
- has insight into his/her own development opportunities in the planning and preparation of graphic solutions for both print and screen media.
The Candidate...
- can explain his/her academic choices and the use of tools, methods and techniques in planning, developing and designing graphic solutions for both print and screen media.
- can explain the use of regulations and guidelines to ensure universal uniformity of digital solutions.
- can reflect on his/her own creative and technical skills as a graphic designer and adjust it with guidance from a tutor or from user feedback.
- can find and refer to information related to the project work and assess the relevance of the project.
The Candidate...
- can plan and carry out graphic solutions for both print and screen-based media independently and in line with ethical requirements and universal design principles.
- can develop graphic solutions for both print and screen-based media based on the needs of selected target groups.
In this course, the following teaching and learning methods can be applied, but are not limited to:
- Lecture: Educator-led presentations or activities providing knowledge, skills, or general competencies in the subject area.
- Group work: Collaborative activities where students work together to solve problems or complete tasks.
- Tutoring: One-on-one or small group sessions with an instructor for personalized guidance and support.

- Self-study: Independent study where students engage with course material on their own without any teacher support.
