The course introduces productivity tools, code libraries, lightweight frameworks and deployment platforms. Candidates will utilize these tools to streamline their development process and will be exposed to the latest industry concepts. Students are introduced to HTTP libraries and a statically typed JavaScript superset library. Students are taught how to deploy to production servers via commits to code repositories. The student will gain knowledge on creating an application with a mini framework from development to deployment. The course builds on competence from JavaScript 2 and Content Management Systems.
Course Relevance
In combination with knowledge and skills obtained from previous courses, the student gains full understanding of development and deployment tools. The knowledge and skills here will be valuable in later projects, especially in the Exam Projector potential client assignments.

- has knowledge of industry-relevant tools and processes that are used for image editing and optimization for streamlined used on-screen and the web
- has knowledge of intellectual property law and rules that include rights to the use of fonts, photographs and graphic content in his/her own projects
- has knowledge of the construct of a visual profile and the necessary elements that are included in a visual profile
- can assess his/her own work in relation to basic aesthetic and technical requirements and guidelines for universal design
- is familiar with basic traditions of the trade for choices regarding typography, colour composition and the use of graphics on displays
