The course introduces project development and its scope covers everything from simple analysis and planning to completion, report writing and presentation of a finished product. The course covers different study methods, as well as writing and presentation techniques, analytical methods and process documentation. The course provides basic competence and understanding of concepts in project planning, process models and methodologies, making it possible for candidates to work effectively in a project team. The candidate learns principles pertaining to version control systems with Git, which initially is from GitHub. The candidate is provided knowledge of merging, commits, branching and conflict management.
Course Relevance
Project planning is a vital part of the subject area. Time management, progress plans and knowledge of lean project methods are essential knowledge the candidates must possess in order to function as part of a larger project. Skills to source information on different subjects, assessing the information’s credibility and to document these has great importance. Documentation and writing reports is essential competence when studying, but also in the working life and is often used for project documentation.
