About the Course

The course provides knowledge and skills to create websites using a Content Management System (CMS) including: setting up and installing a CMS and using and updating themes. The candidate also learns how to create an e-commerce store using WooCommerce. As many platforms are built using PHP, the course also provides insight to PHP. For many organisations, finding simple ways of managing and updating the information on their website is crucial. Content Management Systems make this process easy and efficient. The course builds on competence from Interaction Design.

Course Relevance
Knowing the basics of WordPress and other CMS’s is a key skill for developers, especially freelancers as projects often require the website owner to be able to make ongoing additions and changes to the site. With more than 30% of all websites built on WordPress, it is important to know and understand how to work with Content Management Systems.

Compulsory assignments must be submitted and evaluated with a passing grade. There will be given verbal guidance or written feedback together with the grade.
