The course introduces candidates to User Experience (UX) Design and provides knowledge of central concepts, processes, methods, and tools in user experience research and insights. Candidates are provided knowledge and skills to understand and document user behaviours, needs, and motivations through observation techniques, task analysis, and other feedback methodologies. The course also provides knowledge and practical skills of user research workshop planning, facilitating, and participant recruiting. Candidates are further provided with knowledge about ethical principles and restrictions of user research and standardised procedures for personal data conducting and storage.
Course Relevance
The course aims to understand users and user needs as the key element and skill in the field of UX Design. It is critical for candidates to understand the importance of focusing on the user and user needs when developing efficient user experiences. User research is introduced as a process of applying relevant techniques and methods to understand users’ struggles, routines, behaviours, and expectations.

In this course, the following teaching and learning methods can be applied, but are not limited to:
