About the Course

This course provides the student with basic knowledge of the processes and methods used to develop user-friendly and responsive screen-based designs. The student learns practical skills to produce, structure and ensures the quality of content: text, images and graphics that can be used on a website. Furthermore, the course introduces the main principles of interaction design. The student will gain practical experience building prototypes, conducting simple user tests, and evaluating and developing user-oriented solutions.

  • has knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma or similar to produce prototypes for screen based design.
  • has knowledge of the industry and is familiar with the interdisciplinary process of developing screen-based user-oriented solutions for digital communication
  • has insight into relevant legislation in relation to rights and intellectual property and knowledge of standards, agreements and requirements to ensure quality in screen-based design
  • can update his/her vocational knowledge in design methodologies, accessibility guidelines and design principles relevant for screen-based design projects
  • understands the importance of all-inclusive design mentality to develop screen-based designs available to everyone

  • can apply vocational knowledge of universal design principles into the development of user-friendly solutions for screen-based products
  • can apply vocational knowledge of design methods to produce, structure, quality assure and edit content: text, images and graphics for use on the screen-based devices
  • masters relevant design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or similar to deliver artwork that meets the technical standards and guidelines of the graphics design industry
  • master relevant techniques to present and communicate design project deliveries such as wireframes, prototypes and the final screen-based product
  • can study a project brief for a screen based project and identify what measures need to be taken to develop a user-friendly screen-based designs
