The course introduces project development and its scope covers everything from simple analysis and planning to completion, report writing and presentation of a finished product. The course covers different study methods, as well as writing and presentation techniques, analytical methods and process documentation. The course provides basic competence and understanding of concepts in project planning, process models and methodologies, making it possible for candidates to work effectively in a project team. The candidate learns principles pertaining to version control systems with Git, which initially is from GitHub. The candidate is provided knowledge of merging, commits, branching and conflict management.
Course Relevance
Project planning is a vital part of the subject area. Time management, progress plans and knowledge of lean project methods are essential knowledge the candidates must possess in order to function as part of a larger project. Skills to source information on different subjects, assessing the information’s credibility and to document these has great importance. Documentation and writing reports is essential competence when studying, but also in the working life and is often used for project documentation.
The Candidate:
- has knowledge of concepts and processes that are used for analysis, project planning, completion, reports and presentations
- has knowledge of processes and tools that are used in project management and documentation
- has knowledge of processes and project workflows that are used in agile front-end development projects
- has a knowledge of organisational requirements and workflows in relation to web development and agile project methods

- can apply knowledge of project methodologies for efficient project completion
- masters relevant tools and techniques for project planning, process documentation and project completion
- can find information and material that is relevant for project development with agile project methods
The Candidate:
- can carry out work with files and file systems and develop methods to ensure lean workflow in a development project
- can build relations with his/her peers, also across discipline boundaries and work as part of a team
Digital Learning Resources
The learning management system (LMS) is the primary learning platform where students access most of their course materials. The content is presented in various formats, such as text, images, models, videos or podcasts. Each course follows a progression plan, designed to lead students through weekly modules at their own pace. Exercises and assignments (individual or in groups) are embedded throughout the courses to support continuous practice and assessment of the learning outcomes.

In addition to the digital learning resources, campus students participate in physical learning activities led by teachers as part of the overall delivery.
