About the Course

The students will as part of a production team create a short film or pilot for long formats at a high-quality level and apply practical and theoretical knowledge they have acquired during the two years of studying Film production.

Each student presents his or her work on the graduation project in front an external sensor who will give them a grade from A-F

Knowledge

The candidate:

  • has knowledge of concepts, theories, processes, and tools within the chosen professional role
  • has knowledge of how he/she can contribute in a professional manner to create a short film in their chosen role
  • has knowledge of the tasks and responsibilities of the most important professional roles in a film production
  • can assess this/her own work in relation to the production of the graduation film
  • has knowledge of the concepts, processes and tools that have been used in his/her film productions during the year 
  • is familiar with how to update his or her vocational knowledge in the field of film through self-study
Skills

The candidate:

  • can explain his/her professional roles on a short film production
  • can reflect over his/her own professional role at a high-quality level and adjust under supervision
  • can contribute with his/her specialization to create a short fiction film with a desired expression at a high-quality level
  • can explain his/her choices in the production and postproduction of the graduation film using the schools equipment in an independent, functional manner 
  • can explain his/her vocational choices in the  creation of the production documents to fill a key role on a film production
General Competence

The candidate:

  • can plan and carry out his/her professional role in a short film production at a professional level
  • can plan and carry out professional work-related tasks and projects independently and as a film worker in a production team, in line with current expectations and guidelines in the film industry
  • can contribute to the planning and production of a short film project on a professional level
Learning Activities

Digital Learning Resources
The learning management system (LMS) is the primary learning platform where students access most of their course materials. The content is presented in various formats, such as text, images, models, videos or podcasts. Each course follows a progression plan, designed to lead students through weekly modules at their own pace. Exercises and assignments (individual or in groups) are embedded throughout the courses to support continuous practice and assessment of the learning outcomes.

Campus Resources
In addition to the digital learning resources, campus students participate in physical learning activities led by teachers as part of the overall delivery.

Guidance
Guidance and feedback from teachers support students' learning journeys, and may be provided synchronously or asynchronously, individually or in groups, via text, video or in-person feedback.

Work requirements and Assessment

Six (6) mandatory work requirements must be submitted throughout the course, in addition to the final course submission. These requirements will be assessed as either Approved or Not Approved.
