The course is a final portfolio presentation where the students choose two different film projects and the accompanying production documents that make up a portfolio. At least one of the films must have a length of 5-8 minutes. Each student presents their work in front of the subject teachers.
Each student writes an evaluation of their own work during the year. The year evaluation is assessed by the subject teacher, and the student’s work and efforts during the year are decisive for the assessment.
The candidate:
- Has knowledge of the technical and artistic tools used in the portfolio films
- Has knowledge of their function in the production of such films
- Has knowledge of relevant documentation and what function the production documents have for the portfolio film productions
- Has knowledge of the concepts, processes and tools that have been used in his or her film productions during the year
- Has knowledge of how to update his or her knowledge in the field of film through self-study
The candidate:
- Can master production and postproduction equipment in an independent, functional manner
- Can master necessary production documents to fill a key role on a film production
The candidate:
- Shows understanding of how they have worked as part of a production team with specific key roles and assess how their efforts influenced the finished films
- Can explain how and why they have made certain choices when filling the key role, and how they have worked with the production documents for the portfolio films
- Can assess their own role as part of a production team through self-evaluation
- Shows understanding of how they have evolved as a filmmaker through work in different key roles and as part of the production team on various film projects
In this course, the following teaching and learning methods can be applied, but are not limited to:
- Lecture: Educator-led presentations or activities providing knowledge, skills, or general competencies in the subject area.
- Group work: Collaborative activities where students work together to solve problems or complete tasks.
- Tutoring: One-on-one or small group sessions with an instructor for personalized guidance and support.
- Student presentations: Opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding of course material by presenting to peers.
- Online lessons: Digital content delivered via an online learning platform.
- Guidance: Individualized advice and direction from instructors to support students in their learning journey.
- Workshops: Practical sessions focused on hands-on application of theoretical concepts or skills.
- Self-study: Independent study where students engage with course material on their own without any teacher support.
