Course content

The course provides an introduction to the relationship between physical activity and health across age groups. The students learn about international recommendations for physical activity and inactivity, as well as different methods for measuring activity level both through self-reporting and the use of activity trackers. The course provides practical experience with the administration of a selection of tests for measuring physical fitness in a health context and develops the students' ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of different measurement methods. Emphasis is placed on the dissemination of knowledge to different target groups and clients.
