Consolidates advanced composition and production with finishing workflows and professional orientation. Topics include the stages from mix prep to final delivery, file exchange, versioning, archiving and backup, format customisation, and quality assurance against music and media standards. Professional practice covers career pathways, pricing and contracts, basic business routines (budgeting, invoicing, VAT), application writing, and industry ethics and soft skills. Portfolio preparation is supported throughout.
Work focuses on composer roles in studio and media contexts: writing and arranging original material with artistic coherence and commercial awareness, directing musicians and vocalists in multi-room sessions, and documenting musical and practical decisions. For media, emphasis is placed on music’s narrative function, spotting and synchronisation to picture, collaboration with sound designers and editors, and deliveries aligned with broadcast and streaming requirements.
Learning culminates in an integrated music plus media project delivered in teams. Composers lead musical direction, coordinate with engineering and post teams, manage schedules, and iterate based on feedback to meet defined artistic goals and technical specifications. Outcomes demonstrate the ability to take a project from concept to final delivery, communicate intent clearly, and work reliably under time and format constraints.
