The portfolio presentation consists of a written submission, an individual oral presentation of a film lasting 1-3 minutes that the student wants to explore.
The candidate:
- has knowledge of the technical and artistic tools used in the portfolio film
- has knowledge of their function in the production of such film
- has knowledge of relevant documentation and what function the production documents have for the portfolio film production
- has knowledge of the concepts, processes and tools that have been used in his or her film productions during the year
- has knowledge of how to update his or her knowledge in the field of film through self-study
The candidate:
- masters production and postproduction equipment in an independent, functional manner
- can apply necessary production documents to fill a key role on a film production
The candidate:
- understands of how they have worked as part of a production team with specific key roles and assess how their efforts influenced the finished films
- understands why they have made certain choices when filling the key role, and how they have worked with the production documents for the portfolio films
- has developed an understanding of their own role as part of a production team through self-evaluation
- has developed an understanding of how they have evolved as a filmmaker through work in different key roles and as part of the production team on various film projects
In this course, the following teaching and learning methods can be applied, but are not limited to:
- Lecture: Educator-led presentations or activities providing knowledge, skills, or general competencies in the subject area.
- Group work: Collaborative activities where students work together to solve problems or complete tasks.
- Tutoring: One-on-one or small group sessions with an instructor for personalized guidance and support.
- Student presentations: Opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding of course material by presenting to peers.
- Online lessons: Digital content delivered via an online learning platform.
- Guidance: Individualized advice and direction from instructors to support students in their learning journey.
- Workshops: Practical sessions focused on hands-on application of theoretical concepts or skills.
- Self-study: Independent study where students engage with course material on their own without any teacher support.
Teaching materials, reading lists, and essential resources will be shared in the learning platform and software user manuals where applicable.
