The Internship Course is an elective offering students valuable practical experience within sports-and eventrelated organizations. The primary goal is to provide experience-based learning in the public, private, or voluntary sectors. The internship corresponds to a 50% position. The internship lasts for two and a half months, offering students the opportunity to take on independent tasks and projects.
Learning Outcome
Upon passing the course, students have achieved the following learning outcomes:
- Students will gain an understanding of the requirements for sport management and event-related roles. They will become familiar with the internship organization and its key practical and ethical challenges. Additionally, students will learn to recognize connections between theory and practice.
- Students will develop reflective skills, learn how to collaborate effectively, communicate professionally, and evaluate and improve both their own and others' work.
- Students will acquire a solid understanding of how sport management and event-related organizations operate in practice. They will be able to critically assess tasks and conduct independent analyses.
- The course includes preparatory seminars and practical work at the internship site, with guidance from both the internship organization and the university.
NB: Only three students from Mississippi University, cf agreement International Office.
- Active participation in pre- and post-internship seminars.
- Weekly logbooks documenting tasks completed and reflections on learning.
- A mid-term evaluation.
- All assignments must be completed and approved in order for students to sit for the final exam.
