Applied Forest Ecology is an introductory course that will introduce you to the foundational understanding of the ecological principles governing forest ecosystems and their practical applications in natural resource management and conservation. Topics covered include forest history and natural distribution of tree species, natural disturbances, decomposition of organic material, the forest as a habitat for wildlife, and forest management.

Learning Outcome
