Course content

This course addresses the profound challenges of digitalization and sustainability in today's business world. The course introduces theories and cases to increase students' awareness, understanding, and theoretical knowledge of how digitalization impacts businesses and business ecosystems, with a focus on the social and natural environment.

Students will explore the relationship between digitalization, sustainability, and innovation, learning how to effectively harness digitalization to address environmental and social challenges. Through case studies, they will examine the potential of digitalization to drive sustainable innovation and transform businesses and business ecosystems.

By the end of the course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how businesses can leverage digitalization for technological advancement, environmental responsibility, and social impact. They will acquire insights into the transformation of business ecosystems, fostering sustainable innovation and promoting positive change in business operations and interactions.

Teaching and working methods

The course will consist of lectures, seminars, and case-based work. Lectures will be interactive, with students encouraged to engage in discussions to deepen their understanding of the course content. Seminars will serve as a platform for further discussion and exploration of the topics introduced in the lectures. Additionally, case-based work will allow students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world situations, with the teacher acting as a facilitator to guide the discussions and problem-solving process.

Required coursework

Throughout the course, there will be three mandatory written assignments, with each assignment corresponding to a specific theme or topic. After completing each theme, students must submit the assignment. Each assignment must be approved before the student can take the main exam. These assignments will serve as a means to assess students' understanding of the course material, as well as their ability to apply the concepts and strategies in real-world contexts.
