      Basic knowledge about the use of data analysis, collaboration, and communication in scientific work

Course content
  • Data communication using visualizations and report writing using the open-source quarto publishing system.
  • Introduction to version control as a tool for scientific collaboration.
  • R packages to create and distribute robust data analyses.
  • Introduction to capabilities in the R programming language to simulate and analyze scientific ideas before data collection.

Form of assessment

A written group (2-4 students) assignment will be graded Pass/Fail. The language in the report may be English or Norwegian. When participating in group assignments all group members are responsible for the content of the task/product/performance.
