  • can use 3D software at a basic level
  • can create simple 3D models for use in games and animated films
  • can perform UV mapping of simple polygon-based 3D models
  • can use material shaders and textures to create believable surfaces on 3D models
  • can create an interesting composition with simple models and customized use of 3-point lighting and camera
  • can create simple key-frame animations based on animation principles
  • can render still images and image sequences using both hardware and software render engines
  • can make appropriate choices regarding render engine settings in use
  • can make conscious choices about file formats for export, import, and rendering
  • can customize the user interface in the 3D software to streamline workflow
  • can organize a project considering file structure and setup in the 3D software in use
  • can successfully troubleshoot and resolve issues with 3D objects for games
